What are DEX Z-Codes®?
The Diagnostic Exchange (DEX) Z-Codes are unique five-character alpha-numeric identifiers assigned to molecular diagnostic tests, enabling precise identification and tracking within insurance claims. These codes improve the likelihood of obtaining appropriate reimbursement for your diagnostic services by ensuring the payers have the necessary information (intended use, methodology, and performance).
